Aerospace and Geodesy Graduates Celebrate Their Degrees

The TUM School of Engineering and Design celebrated the graduation of its Bachelor's and Master's students in the Aerospace and Geodesy degree programs at the Ottobrunn-Taufkirchen campus.

Graduates of the degree programs Aerospace, Geodesy and Geoinformation, Earth Oriented Space Science and Technology, and Land Management and Geospatial Science attended the Graduation Ceremony.

Eight graduates were also honored for their outstanding academic achievements and exceptional theses.

Thomas Rudig (B.Sc. Geodesy and Geoinformation) and Jakob Hummelsberger (M.Sc. Geodesy and Geoinformation) received the Habert Book Prize as the top graduates of their respective degree programs.

Nino Lenz, a graduate of the Master's program in Robotics, Cognition, Intelligence at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology, received the VDV Award for his master's thesis, “Radiometric and Geometric Calibration of a CMOS Array Used in a Multispectral Pushbroom Configuration for an Earth-Observation CubeSat” (grade: 1.0). His thesis was recognized as an outstanding scientific achievement with significant relevance for geodetic Earth observation, particularly for the CuBy mission.

Departmental awards for the best graduates in the Aerospace degree programs were presented to Finn Freienstein and Nicolas Cunha for the Bachelor's program, and to Sandra Kleinheinz, Manuel Schimmer, and Matthias Kura for the Master's program.
