The Bachelor's degree program 'Geodesy and Geoinformation' at the Technical University of Munich offers an interdisciplinary education in technical-mathematical and geoscientific fundamentals. The latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, geodetic multi-sensor technology and digital modelling are used to precisely record, analyze and visualize the earth.
A central aspect of the course is the development of innovative navigation and positioning systems. These technologies are crucial for future areas such as autonomous driving, drone control and tunnel construction. Geodetic measurement methods are used to create digital images of the earth, which allow positions to be determined with high precision in 3D and 4D. This data is converted into geoinformation and forms the basis for modern mobility concepts - from urban transport networks to navigation in virtual worlds and even on other planets.
In addition to the theoretical foundations, there is a strong focus on practical applications. Students record environmental and geodata with state-of-the-art sensors, analyze them and develop new applications with social relevance. As an internationally networked center of innovation, Munich offers outstanding research opportunities and excellent career prospects - both in the region and worldwide.
With this degree program, TUM is opening up future-oriented opportunities in earth observation, navigation technology and digital geodata processing - a degree program that combines science and technology with real social challenges.
Application possible from May 15 to July 15!
