TUM alumna Stefanie Gocht shares how she found her way into research, first as a student assistant and later through supportive mentors. She is particularly fascinated by the chance to push the boundaries of science, create something new, and positively impact the built environment. Her motivation: “To make the world a little better – and to train the next generation.”
For her, everyday research means tackling new questions, sharing knowledge, and embracing variety. She values the interdisciplinary environment, the exchange with equally passionate colleagues, and the many networking and event opportunities.
The video series “Shaping the Future – Women Engineers Share Their Professional Experiences” highlights the diverse career paths of women in engineering. Initiated by the Diversity TUM ED; produced by TUM ProLehre.
