Contextual Studies - Interdisciplinary Engineering Skills
Expand your horizons and gain new perspectives
In a world characterized by both global challenges and technological innovation, holistic competencies are needed that go beyond technical expertise and enable you to apply your engineering skills in a broad social context and to act in a socially responsible manner. Contextual competencies are designed to promote awareness of the interaction of engineering interventions with society, ecology, and the economy, and to enable you to navigate a variety of engineering contexts.
As part of the contextual studies program, you will have the opportunity to attend courses and modules offered by other schools, departments or chairs in order to complement your engineering studies with interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary educational content.
As the coordinating office, we see Contextual Studies as a process-oriented and reflective program.
