Tanja Schröder, Max Wittmann and Michael Krautblatter measure the distribution of permafrost in the ridge tunnel along the north face of the Zugspitze using an electrical sensitivity tomography method. Since 2007, they have been regularly monitoring how the permafrost at the Zugspitze reacts to annual weather changes such as warm summers and winters, monthly since 2012.
